Paramotor Center & Pilot’s Cafe

We highly recommend this company, established in 2017, recognized for its extensive experience and strong focus on customer satisfaction and safety.

Paragliding in Vang Vieng—often enjoyed as ’paramotoring’ with a small engine—offers an exhilarating bird’s-eye view of the dramatic karst landscapes. Soar above towering limestone cliffs, lush rice paddies, and the winding Nam Song River for an unforgettable 15–20 minutes.

Admire the area from the sky

Our trusted partner, Above Laos, was founded by the Lao Airsports Club to enhance ballooning safety, quality, and professional standards in Laos. We are proud to have issued the very first ballooning licenses in the country!

’Above Laos’ typically offers 25–30 minute flights, combining safety, comfort, and breathtaking aerial views.

Climbing around Vang Vieng

We highly recommend Adam’s Climbing School, a renowned and reputable rock climbing operation in the area.

Vang Vieng is celebrated for its dramatic limestone karst formations, making it a premier destination for climbers. The Adam’s Climbing School team caters to everyone—from absolute beginners with no prior experience to seasoned climbers seeking an exciting challenge.

Vang Xang Archeological site

Situated midway between Vientiane (1-hour drive) and Perfect Journey (1-hour drive), this Buddhist sanctuary, dating back to the 11th century, features five Buddha statues intricately carved into the rock face.

The site is located near an elephant cemetery, hidden in the jungle just a 15-minute walk from the road. A true ’Must-Visit’ cultural stop for travelers seeking history and serenity.

Magnificent view on the valley

Nam Xay Viewpoint offers one of Laos’ most iconic and breathtaking vistas. This popular spot provides stunning 360-degree panoramic views of the region’s signature karst limestone cliffs, lush rice paddies, and meandering rivers.

The ascent takes 20 to 45 minutes, with a moderate to challenging level depending on the season—good shoes are recommended. Entry is 2 USD.

Famous caves in the area

Among the many caves in the area, Tham Chang is perched on the mountainside overlooking Blue Lagoon 1. A short 15-minute climb leads you to this impressive cave, where you can admire ancient sculptures carved into the rock.

For all the caves, sturdy shoes are recommended, as the paths can be slippery.

The Blue lagoons

In the Nathong Valley, you’ll discover five ’Blue Lagoons.’ Fed by rivers flowing from the surrounding mountains and caves, these natural lagoons invite you to swim, relax, and enjoy refreshing food and beverages.

The mineral-rich ground gives the water a stunningly clear blue hue, creating the perfect spot to unwind and cool off during the hot season.
